Our mission is to provide support, guidance and information for people who have been diagnosed with hepatitis C, or are a partner or relative of someone with the virus. Our vision is to help sufferers and their families and partners wherever and however we can.
Our principle aims are:
1. We aim to provide a safe, confidential and welcoming environment for hepatitis C sufferers and those affected to meet/telephone us to share experiences and problems and gain information. Our vision is to enable people to make informed choices.
2. We aim to create and maintain an up to date resource base with the latest and most reliable information on all aspects of hepatitis C.
3. Our vision is to raise awareness of hepatitis C generally and attempt to remove any stigma attached to the condition and enable people marginalised by it.
4. We aim to be part of a wider strategy to keep Hepatitis C transmission to a minimum and create health awareness generally, including healthy eating, special diets, alternative medicines, etc.
5. Our vision is to work and co-operate with existing organisations local to us and nationally.
6. We will never discriminate against anyone on the grounds of race, colour, gender, age, religious or other beliefs, or on the way in which the virus was contracted.
7. We aim to extend or modify the services we offer by responding to the needs of the group.
